"I began my love affair with art
when I attened classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After marriage
and children, I renewed my interest by attending classes at the Brockton
and Easton Community Schools and later the Fuller Museum of Art and Massasoit
Community College. I worked with charcoal and pastels but I soon discovered
oil paint. I loved pushing globs of paint around the canvas trying to train
the paint to do what I wanted it to do. For several years I was in a community
studio in Easton, working with a number of talented artists. During this
time I begain experimenting with watercolor and found it a most challenging
medium. Now it is my one true love. As for subject matter, I am never at
a loss. I love seascapes, especially lighthouses but I am also drawn to
the scenery around me in Easton."
